Next development at Cork Docklands, Ireland’s largest regeneration project, moves to planning application
Irelands largest regeneration project has been called “an exemplar” for the 15-minute city, as it will be ‘highly sustainable and served by efficient public transport’, as business continues to invest in Cork.
This comes after Developers O’Callaghan Properties stated their intention to seek planning permission for 1300 new homes in the Cork Docklands. The developer has already completed development at Navigation Square, with plans for Kennedy Quay. The group are seeking a mixed-use scheme on the 32-acre Gouldings site, in an area undergoing transformational regeneration.
Plans for the Cork docklands include a projected 20,000 units in the coming years, in Irelands largest regeneration project and one of the largest in Europe.
