Future Professional Skills showcase 2024 a chance for employers to meet PHD researchers
The Future Professional Skills Showcase 2024 (FPSS’24), is taking place on February 7th in Páirc Uí Chaoimh. The event is a national event being led by the two Science Foundation Centres for Research Training based in University College Cork, CRT AI and CRT Advance, and represents just another great reasons why business should invest in Cork.
This event aims to connect PHDs researchers with industry to learn about what skill sets are needed for the transition from academia to working in industry. Industry partners will discuss with PhD researchers the current needs regarding skills, competencies and knowledge base that will make them successful in today’s market.
The event will be attended by 180+ PhD students and academic supervisors in another great example of the collaborative and innovative eco-system that connects Cork research, academia and employers. Cork’s 10000+ STEM graduates annually from its two leading universities are a big reason the counties had enjoyed significant success in attracting FDI.
The event will be held in the cities striking G.A.A stadium, Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
