New UCC Business School To Enhance Cork’s Learning Quarter

University College Cork has been awarded a government grant of €25 million towards the development of a new Cork University Business School (CUBS) in the heart of Cork City. The new development will accommodate 4,000 students and up to 200 staff in a riverside location close to several other learning institutes, including the College of Commerce, Cork School of Music and St John’s Central College.

UCC’s decision to boost its city centre presence follows on from the opening of a Centre for Executive Education in 2018 in the historic former Savings Bank building opposite City Hall. The successful growth of the university has required expansion beyond its historic campus. The move to the centre of Cork city will position Cork University Business School at the heart of the business district, enhancing the social and economic fabric of the city and region and will bring additional vibrant entrepreneurial benefits and jobs.
