Ireland’s culinary capital all set for ‘Cork on a Fork’ food festival

Cork is considered the culinary capital of Ireland, and at no time are Cork’s culinary credentials better showcased than the 5 day ‘Cork on a Fork’ food festival, running August 16th – 20th. Now in its second year, attendees can expect a flavour-packed festival programme of more than 100 food events.

These include tasting trails throughout the city, cooking demos, masterclasses, street events, bite size talks, symposiums and unique dining experiences for all tastes, interests and ages, at this premier event in Cork.

Cork has a huge ethos on quality food and produce that goes back centuries. The county has long been a significant exporter of highly sought after foodstuffs, with its produce sent around the world. Now the world comes to Cork to sample its exceptional and varied offering.

Watch the Cork Oyster Shucking Championship, bring your own teddy to the Fitzgerald Park teddy bear picnic, or join a pizza making masterclass. The huge list of events includes specialist tasting menus packed full of local produce and even coffee roasting classes for caffeine lovers.
