Cork office market welcomes new arrivals among 110% increase

Cork saw a significant increase in its office market uptake in 2022, with over 25000 square meters representing a 110% increase on 2021 figures.  Among the new arrivals was NASDAQ listed NetApp, whose new international HQ at Navigation Square represents a major move for the U.S firm into the cities Docklands.  The move is hoped to lead to over 500 jobs by 2025.

The California based company, with a portfolio including intelligent cloud services, data services and storage infrastructure, occupy almost 2700 sq. meters of the flagship Navigation Square.  Speaking around the time of the announcement in November 2022, Debra McCowan, Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer at NetApp said

“Cork has become the global hub of choice for international headquarters of technology companies, home to over 100 technology companies.”

Also among the arrivals in 2022 was flexible officer provider Iconic Offices, who joined the likes of NETGEAR, Bourne Electronics, CH Robinson and Qualcomm in establishing a presence in the region.
