Cork’s food scene reaches new heights with additional Michelin star ratings

Cork has long been known as the culinary capital of Ireland, with a host of incredible food offerings not just in its city but wider county.  The Cork food offering is famed for using its own exceptional local ingredients, much sought around the world for centuries.  The latest addition to the highly exclusive 2 star club is:

  • Terre, Castlemartyr – Where contemporary French cuisine is expertly combined with exciting Asian flavours in an exceptional tasting menu curated by Chef Patron Vincent Crepel and his talented team using exceptional local, seasonal produce. This is complemented by carefully curated wines or a unique tea pairing.

Terre is the second Cork resturant to join the 2 star club, with dede at the Customs House in Baltimore already one of Ireland’s five two-star restaurants.

Also among the recent awards mentions was Ichigo Ichie Bistro in Cork City, which won a Michelin Bib Gourmands that recognises high quality and good value food. Inspectors recognised Ichigo Ichie Bistro for being “a more relaxed and accessibly priced restaurant that comes with the bustle of contented diners,”.
