Rubrik expansion hails close collaboration with Cork Universities as key to success

Cybersecurity is a service in increasing demand and California based company Rubrik has increased its Cork presence to meet the requirement. The company continues to invest in Cork for the long term, citing its university partnerships as key to its development.

Since its initial plans at expansion in 2018, the firm has almost doubled its planned growth from 50 to almost 100 roles.  The opportunities include new roles in engineering, sales and customer service.

The Companies Chief Customer Officer had high praise for Cork and its talent pool:

“The depth of talent we are able to access in Ireland has driven significant local growth,” Giri Iyer, Chief Customer Officer.

The firm is working closely with Cork two Universities, University College Cork and Munster Technological University, fostering graduate programmes and close working synergies.

MTU’s programme Director Dr Patrick McCarthy said:

“We are extremely focused on closing the cybersecurity and multi-cloud skills gaps”.
